sofra // cambridge, MA

chocolate! baklava!
The food at Sofra is really so lovely.

{sofa: a turkish word meaning low dining table}

I do not see how I could ever tire of flaky baklava.

today is // spring... hesitantly

Today is the second official day of spring; a clean and blustery day. The frail, beaten down leaves upon the trees rattled like little maracas. Would it be too bold to venture that maybe spring arrives?

to be very clear this is a bouquet from summer as much as I may wish otherwise.
Spring is like a perhaps hand,  no?

objects of interest // a photograph from summer

taken on a disposable camera

thoughts on a California summer:
1. the nights are far colder than one would expect.
2. the highways are wide and powerful, lanes unfolding before you like a deck of cards in skilled hands. The dashes that divide the lanes fly towards your helpless vehicle, drops of rain in a heavy storm.
3. concrete sizzles under the relentless rays of sun.
